‘Ebb And Flow’

A abstract triptych embodying the ebb and flow of the sea. 
The wool has been dyed with an organic indigo vat to create a variety of blue shades which blend to add a feeling of movement to the designs. Multiple strands of wool have been used in the weft to add texture and subtly blend the shades together. 
The woven wave structures undulate through the piece, bold from a distance but becoming more delicate and detailed the closer they are viewed. 
Handwoven using traceable wool sourced from Uist and framed with sustainably felled oak from a local woodland. 
Each section 45cm x 45cm x 2.5cm
